  • We are delighted to stock this gorgeous magazine from Japan. The patterns in Amirisu are truly inspiring and so very wearable.

Issue 27 is inspired by "music". Each designer freely interpreted the theme and demonstrated their creativity, resulting in 12 pieces that were light and filled with attention to detail.

Special Feature: Interviews with Fiber Artists
We speak with two of our favourite artists, Julie Weisenberger of Cocoknits and Cassandra Harada of Harada Wool, about the businesses they have developed and their visions for the future.

Plus, an interview with beadwork artist Madison Holler, a project from Lori Ann Graham, two sewing projects (a machine-quilted project bag and a tea cozy with details any wool lover will enjoy), and much more.

Participating designers: Ainur Berkimbayeva, Alice Caetano, Alma Bali, Cecilia Flori, Derako, Eri Shimizu, Keiko Kikuno, Megumi Sawada, Mizuho Komiya, Rachel Illsley, Rievive

  • ABOUT US

Inspiration from Japanese knitting and craft scene.

amirisu is a new online/paper magazine launched in August 2012.
It is the only online magazine focused on knitting and related crafts in Japan.
We aim to bring interesting contents to young knitters who want to knit what they can actually wear everyday.
Since 2014, amirisu became available in print, and as a subscription. We now sell Japanese books and original items from Japan.
