All of these yarns are great for making socks! They have been selected because they are the right gauge for most sock patterns, and because of the durability of fibres.
Most have some nylon in them for strength and stretchiness, but not all...
If you're not a fan of synthetics, consider holding a strand of Silk Mohair yarn with your sock yarn in areas where your socks wear thin.
Yarns that contain silk and BFL (Blue Faced Leicester) are nice and strong too.
Some of these yarns contain some cashmere which makes for a gorgeous knitting and wearing experience.
As with all hand-dyed yarns - we don't recommend hand-washing.
