If you follow us over on Instagram, then the cat was probably out of the bag and screeching at the top of its lungslongbefore you read this blog post – we’ve moved!

That’s right; we’ve uprooted from our leafy Thames-side home in Richmond, London and relocated ourselves (plus our team and  lots of lovely yarns) to the stunning coastline of East Neuk, Fife.

Our new location.

Things are happening fast at Tribe HQ, and we’re currently in a gorgeous temporary home that lies just inland from Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife. We’re here until our amazing new space in the Cow Shed at Comie Law Farm has been fully renovated for us.

Here’s a sneak peek of how things are looking below!

Our new location!

We’re super excited to get settled, and the location sits minutes from where we’ll be living, a stone’s throw from the beach, tons of gorgeous harbour villages and (importantly) a must for any foodies, the fantastic Bowhouse for the most delicious fresh ingredients and markets.

Things are looking in shape for us to be all moved in for May 2024, a move which will see Tribe work closer with some wonderful people, including Di Gilpin, without whom this move to Scotland simply wouldn’t be possible!

Tribe is on the move

Why are we moving?

Despite the rumours, NO- we are not closing, quite the opposite! We’ve taken the big (and brave) decision to relocate because we’re ready to grow, and what better place to do that than the stunning east coast of Scotland?

Inspiration is everywhere you look in our new digs, and up here we havetonsof room to grow, that’s both personally and in yarn terms too.

We’re excited for all the new directions our little biz will be exploring, and excited to tell you all about them. But, for now, we can offer a little teaser, including our very own upcoming retreats, designs and even an original line of yarns by Tribe!

Of course, there’s the personal side of things, too, including our health, friendships and happiness. We’re looking forward to taking a teensy step back from the rat race, and refocusing, pouring our time into things that we love and are really good at – bringing you the brilliant colours and natural fibres from sustainable, independent yarn producers!

To hear more about our move, check out our Instagram reel, where I give you a mini summary of some of the reasons behind our big move!

So, what about our old store in Richmond-upon-Thames?

We’ve loved every minute of life in Richmond, but the time has come for a new challenge, and we can’t wait to see what that holds for Tribe and all our lovely customers!

As a final fanfare and a huge thank you for all of your support, we had a fantastic closing sale in-store, which included lots of odd dye lots, balls with missing labels, end-of-lines and ex-display products (basically all the stuff we didn’t want to pack!!!).

We enjoyed a little party in the shop, with plenty of prosecco, tasty nibbles, a table full of fabulous bargains even some furniture!

We’ll be back imminently with another Tribe update, so stay tuned, keep your eyes on our socials, and we’ll speak to you soon!
