- We first encountered Qing Yak Singles when Layla came over to wind skeins at the shop - it was love at first sight!
This luxury Fingering weight yarn is little thicker Merino Singles, and since the natural, undyed base is such a deep grey-brown, the colours are deep and rich.
The yak content adds a superlative softness and warmth, and the silk adds the lustrous sheen and smooth drape, as well as strength.
On top of this, each skein provides 120g and 480m! We think it's suitable for any pattern and stitch texture - from simple to fun and complex!
Layla's amazing colourways are achieved by hand-dying in small batches with professional acid dyes.
65% Superwash Merino
We are over the moon to stock Qing Fibre, which is locally dyed here in London by über talented Layla. Originally from Beijing, China, Layla began dyeing yarn in London around 2015 an officially started her brand in 2016. Qing Fibre yarns are instantly recognisable and fly off the shelves as soon as they grace them. We advise you to snap them up before they are gone :)
All Qing Fibre blends are ethically and carefully sourced from Peru and hand dyed in London.
