Technically, Worsted is a little thinner than Aran, but you might find the terms being used interchangeably in patterns. Sometimes it's also called 10-ply yarn. (And not to be confused with Worsted spun yarn... that's a whole different wormhole.)
This yarn is thicker than DK, but thinner than Chunky/Bulky. It's most traditionally used for sweaters and hats, but it makes gorgeous Winter shawls and mitts too.
This yarn is usually knit on 4.5mm-6mm needles, and depending on the needle and yarn, you'll get somewhere from 16-22 stitches to 10cm.
Since this category includes a bunch of slightly different gauges, don't hesitate to get in touch if you need advice! We can also help you to mix yarn combos to get exactly what you want, and a unique result.
