Illimani have smashed it out the park with this new yarn. This is their newest yarn made from 100% pure Royal Alpaca, and it's incredible.
Like Royal I, Royal II is spun from the very best selection of alpaca, with 18.5 – 19.5 microns (from only 1% of global alpaca wool production).
But unlike, Royal I, which is a more traditionally spun and plied, smooth yarn in solid colours, Royal II has a (royal alpaca) binder in the middle which holds the fibres in place. So it's more like a brushed yarn.
And It's even lighter than a blown yarn, thanks to new innovation in yarn spinning.
It will produce a voluminous, airy, cloud soft fabric which is perfect for 100% Royal Alpaca garments and accessories alike!

Some colours feature a different core alpaca colour to the fibres:
Brick, Denim, Lavender, Pale Pink bone cores.
Ash has a black cores.
Bone and Black have matching core colours.
Illimani claim that this yarn is as soft as cashmere. We disagree. It's even softer than cashmere. And with the added bonus of increased durability since it's an Alpaca.
