Mulberry Silk + Baby Alpaca + Merino. AMELIE is the most luxurious, softest and lightest yarn in the world. It is impossible to describe it in mere words.
Amelie's extremely light and beautiful texture is the result combining three premium fibers using a new technology which blows light tubes of yarn instead of twists.
We stock every single colour, including the brand new RED, ORANGE and PURPLE!
We couldn't say it better than mathemaknitter on Ravelry:
"This is one of the most gorgeous yarns I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve had the luxury of being able to afford whatever yarn I want, so I have worked with some fabulous cashmere and cashmere blends and lots of silk. The yardage is also pretty fabulous for something that knits up at an aran-weight, so you will find that it’s not so expensive (by meterage) and it makes a gorgeously light and drapey garment. And this yarn totally deserves to be a next-to-skin garment. If you wear it by itself, it’s light and breathable and lovely, and if you need to be extra-warm, a light coat over it will keep you thoroughly warm. :)"

Gorgeous - very light, so it feels like it should be light as mohair, but it actually knits into something that is opaque rather than misty or semi-transparant. Very metallic looki... view moreng, but lovely and soft feel compared to a lot of metallic yarns.
The mohair in it makes the yarn relatively sticky, so it's not as drapy as the silk would normally be. view less
A:Hey Harriette! It is such an unusual yarn, but so lovely and versatile. I’ve knit a huge cocoon cardigan, a hat and a cowl in Amelie and have never blocked any of them. They were knit on needles ranging from 3.75 - 10mm. The finished acticles didn’t ever look like they would benefit...view more from it. I wouldn’t be worried though. The silk makes nice and strong, and possibly a good blocking will help it shed less. Hope that helps! Milli xview less
