Bunny Bomber Hat Pattern

This little bomber-style cap just makes you want to say “awwwwww.” This perfectly toasty hat boasts ear flaps to keep the wind at bay, and ties snugly under the chin for those particularly chilly mornings. But this hat is more than just a chill-chaser. We’ve added two floppy little ears and a sweet, embroidered nose and mouth on top to turn this bomber into an adorable bunny. Fold up flaps are held in place with a button in the front, and a cottontail pom-pom bringing up the rear. So cute!

Preemie (Newborn, 3–9 mos, 9–24 mos, toddler, child). Shown in 3–9 mos size

Finished Measurements

Circumference: 11¼ (12¾, 14½, 16, 17½, 19¼)”. Height: 4½ (5¼, 6, 6¾, 7½, 8½)”, excluding earflaps

Yarn

1 skein Washable Wool dk (100g, 270 yds each). Colour shown: Snowy Owl
Contrast Colours: small amounts of pink and grey for embroidery

Needles

4 mm straight needles, 16" circular needles and dpns

Tension/gauge

5 sts x 7¼ rnds = 1″ in Stockinette Stitch.

You'll also need a pom pom maker and a 15 - 16 mm button for the front flap.
