Volare Cape Sweater Kit

Size
2 items left
  • This luxurious open sweater, designed by @AegyoKnit, is named "Volare", meaning "to fly" in Latin. It has a minimalist and elegant silhouette and is worked initially in the round from the top down until the lower part of the body which is worked flat.

This kit is for the original yarns: a combination of Isager Kamgarn 2 and Isager Silk Mohair held together. Kamgarn 2 is undyed and minimally processed.

For a coloured version you could use Isager Jensen, Pascuali Sayama, mYak Tibetan Cloud, Ériu Elements or a single strand of Wooldreamers Manchelopi (all held with a lace weight silk mohair). If you wanted to use a single strand of yarn, we recommend Gepard My Joy, Camarose Snefnug, Circus Tonic Merino Possum or our own Yak in the Buff would all be lovely.

    4 sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4)

  • ISAGER YARNS

Renowned for classic yarns made from natural fibres, well suited for knitting, crochet, weaving and embroidery.

All the wool qualities are ideal for felting and for dyeing with plant dyes.

It is important to us that our yarns are produced with the greatest amount of care taken to both animals and humans.

    THE COLOUR RANGE

Carefully created so the colours work well together both within and across the qualities. We rarely change the colours, as the range primarily consists of BASIC COLOURS, amongst which contemporary colours can always be found.

The colours and qualities of our finer yarns can be mixed to create unique pieces.

As a rule, single ply, densely spun yarns should not be used individually for working in the round, as they may pull the finished work. When worked together with other qualities this problem is avoided.
