  • KARLA CAPE is Anne Ventzel's gorgeous contribution to the collaborative collection, ISAGER ARCHIVES lauched in Spring 2024.

    We have created kits with the original Isager yarns which Anne used for this design.

    This slipped stitch pattern is a simple technique that lets you knit a two-colour pattern using only one colour at a time. So, it's beginner-friendly and easier to knit than traditional stranded colourwork.

    The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down.

    • Circular needles: 4.5 mm and 5 mm, 40 cm and 80/120 cm
    • Two 5mm circular needles for Judy's Magic Cast On
    • 10 Buttons (we like these toggles)
    • Stitch Marker
    • Tapestry needle for darning your ends

    It varies from person to person how much positive ease you like in your clothes. We recommend measuring some of your favourite cardigans to help you choose the perfect size for you.
    Shown with 37 cm of positive ease in the light version of KARLA CAPE which is length 1, and 60 cm of positive ease in the caramel coloured version, which is also length 1.
    Gauge:

    16 sts x 26 rows in pattern on a 5 mm needle = 10 x 10 cm

    Eco Soft Ingredients:
    56% Baby Alpaca, 44% Organic Pima Cotton
    125m (136yd) per 50g ball

    Tvinni Ingredients:
    100% pure new wool

  • ISAGER YARNS

    Renowned for classic yarns made from natural fibres, well suited for knitting, crochet, weaving and embroidery.

    All the wool qualities are ideal for felting and for dyeing with plant dyes.

    It is important to us that our yarns are produced with the greatest amount of care taken to both animals and humans.

    THE COLOUR RANGE

    Carefully created so the colours work well together both within and across the qualities. We rarely change the colours, as the range primarily consists of BASIC COLOURS, amongst which contemporary colours can always be found.

    The colours and qualities of our finer yarns can be mixed to create unique pieces.

    As a rule, single ply, densely spun yarns should not be used individually for working in the round, as they may pull the finished work. When worked together with other qualities this problem is avoided.
