Construction

The cardigan is worked back and forth, bottom up in three pieces in stockinette stitch with a strand of each yarn throughout. It has a ribbing at the neck, the lower body border and the sleeves.
The body is worked back and forth to the armhole and the two fronts and the back are then worked separately to the shoulders.
The sleeves are worked back and forth separately and sewn on to the cardigan.

Yarn

biches & bûches le petit lambswool: 200 (200, 250, 250, 300, 350)g
isager silk mohair / le petit silk & mohair: 125 (125, 150, 150, 175, 200)g
(1 thread of each held together throughout)
4 x 15 mm buttons

Needles

Ribbing: 3.5mm/UK9.5/US4 or one size smaller than the larger needle size (circular needles to accommodate for the large number of stitches).

Main fabric: 4mm/UK8/US6 or the size to obtain gauge (circular needles to accommodate for the large number of stitches).

Tension/gauge
19 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch.

X-small: back width 44cm/17.25” - width half front 23.5cm/9.25” - armhole 20cm/7.75” - length from underarms and down 38cm/15” - sleeve length to underarm 43cm/17” (ribbing 12cm/4.75”)

Small: back width 48cm/19” - width half front 25.5cm/10” - armhole 21cm/8.25” - length from underarms and down 39cm/15.25” - sleeve length 44cm/17.25” (ribbing 12cm/4.75”)

Medium: back width 52.5cm/20.75” - width half front 27.5cm/10.75” - armhole 22cm/8.75” - length from underarms and down 40cm/15.75” - sleeve length 45cm/17.75” (ribbing 12cm/4.75”)

Large: back width 56cm/22” - width half front 29.5cm/11.5” - armhole 23cm/9” - length from underarms and down 41cm/16.25” - sleeve length 45cm/17.75” (ribbing 12cm/4.75”)

X-Large: back width 60cm/20.5” - width half front 31.5cm/12.5” - armhole 24cm/8.5” - length from underarms and down 42cm/16.5” - sleeve length 45cm/17.75” (ribbing 12cm/4.75”)

2X-Large: back width 64cm/20.5” - width half front 33.5cm/12.5” - armhole 26cm/10.25” - length from underarms and down 44cm/17.25” - sleeve length 45cm/17.75” (ribbing 12cm/4.75”)

Ease : the cardigan is intended to have approx. 8cm/3” positive ease.
