  • Absolutely gorgeous Natural Dye Kits by Tintica Yarns.

Experience the magical process of natural dyeing with these completely gorgeous and thoughtful Natural Dye Kits by Tintica Yarns.

Tíntica is brought to you by Aida, the creator behind the popular YouTube channel, Lanátika. She was a pioneer in the Spanish-speaking world to offer videos of tutorials, tricks, techniques, projects and more. Tíntica yarn has been featured in patterns by top designers Joji Locatilli and Lucía Ruiz de Aguirre. The kits have been part of The Sewing Box Magazine´s featured product.

The kit contains all necessary materials and instructions for dyeing one skein in the pretty yellow colour given by Chamomile flowers:

    · One  or Two Undyed 100g high quality skeins of Spanish merino superwash* yarn [300m (Sport weight)]

    · Chamomile flowers grown in Spain - used to get very uniform yellows

    · Alum

    · A Step by Step booklet to guide you through your dyeing process easily and enjoyably

    * The locally sourced Spanish Merino yarn has gone through a reduced Superwash treatment in order to preserve much of the beautiful, natural qualities of the yarn. Therefore it is not guaranteed that the yarn will not felt in a washing machine.

  • Tíntica was born in an attic full of plants, roots, leaves, flowers, peels, fruits and more. The pots steam and the alchemy arises, resulting in a wool treated with love, respect and … patience.

Aida places a lot of importance to local production. All of her yarns are hand sourced from her native Spain.

Unusually, Tíntica wool has a reduced superwash process to achieve a balance between the natural properties of yarn and practicality.
