Introduction to Darning Workshop with Flora Collingwood-Norris
Visible mending is a great way to repair your old clothes, and turn holes into design features in a creative way!
You only have to perform a search for #visiblemending to see how wonderfully creative you can get... This workshop is taught by the brilliantly talented Flora Collingwood-Norris (recently featured in The Times for her supreme mending skills.)
This two and a half hour introduction to darning workshop will cover colourful approaches to darning and Swiss darning on knitwear. Learn how to repair your knitwear with practical and decorative darning methods, and learn how to reinforce worn areas with Swiss darning.
There will be examples of how these techniques can be used to look at and discuss, and feel free to bring your worn knitwear along if you would like!
All materials and equipment provided.
No previous experience necessary.
This workshop will focus on visibly mending knitwear- ideal if you’ve had moths, a chewy puppy, or worn through areas over time.
2.5 hours, starting 12:30pm sharp. Please arrive promptly.
