Odeletta is an elegant crochet shawl with a curve and beads worked into the border. Perfect for weddings and summery evenings out.
Pattern is written using UK terminology with US conversion given in abbreviation list.
The foundation row results in slight pulling at the top curve, this ensures that the shawl will drape well around the shoulders.
Pattern is written and the border is charted as well.
Any lace weight yarn will be fine to use for this shawl, you will need approximately 420m/458yr, taking into account that different fibres result in different drape and effect of finished shawl. The version photographed is made from silk-mohair.
4mm (US G/6) crochet hook
4 x Place markers (optional)
298 x beads – I have used Frosted Purple size 6 beads, if you are planning on using non fluffy lace weight yarn you might consider size 8 beads.
Completed shawl after blocking measures 174 cm (68.5 in) around the top curve, 20 cm (8 in) deep and 250 cm (98 in) around the bottom curve.
