YARN IN THE CITY
Rachel and Allison are North American expats who enjoy living in London and being part of the larger UK knitting community.
Founded in early 2013, Yarn in the City celebrates the yarn-loving community of knitters and fibre enthusiasts in London and the broader UK by planning fun, knitting-centred events that bring people together in their shared love of yarn-y crafts.
Past and upcoming events include the Bath Christmas Market Road Trip and the Quotidian Colourwork workshop with designer Felicity Ford.
Yarn in the City is also the organisation behind The Great London Yarn Crawl, an annual one-day tour of London's finest yarn and haberdashery shops for charity. In only it's second year, GLYC2014 was a sellout with 90 participants, 17 volunteers, 150 items knit and over £800 raised for UK charity Refuge.
