Once they're gone, they're gone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd we're particularly pleased to have found Gima because it's a fantastic alternative to the now almost-impossible-to-find \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.tribeyarns.com\/products\/japansk-bomuld\"\u003eIsager Japansk Bomuld\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike Japansk Bomuld, Gima is a \u003cstrong\u003e100% cotton yarn with a wonderfully unusual flat, tape-like construction\u003c\/strong\u003e. Rather than producing a fluffy or traditionally spun cotton fabric, it creates something beautifully clean, crisp and contemporary, with fantastic stitch definition and a light, papery feel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe love this yarn for \u003cstrong\u003esummer tops, lightweight sweaters, tees, vests, scarves, bags and warm-weather accessories\u003c\/strong\u003e. The cotton will keep you cool, while that distinctive construction gives even very simple knitting loads of texture and character, which softens considerably after washing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e(Gima is finer than Japansk Bomuld –-you get a whopping \u003cstrong\u003e212m from just 25g\u003c\/strong\u003e – so it isn't a completely identical substitution. JB is 315m per 50g. ITO designed Gima to be used \u003cstrong\u003eeither singly or with multiple strands held together\u003c\/strong\u003e, so you can completely change the weight and character of the resulting fabric depending on what you're making.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd since this is ITO, the fun really starts when you combine it with another yarn.
