Embroidery on Crochet with Carolyn Bloom

Join us for this online ZOOM class with the fabulous Carolyn Bloom!

Are you craving a unique way to add visual interest to your crocheting?

Then how about a class that shows you how to add colour, pattern, and dimension to your crochet?

We are so happy to have Carolyn Bloom share her designs, tips and tricks on how to do just that through embroidery!

Over the course of the class, we will stitch four(!) different motifs into crocheted coasters, converting simple swatches into handcrafted pieces of art that you’ll be pleased to use in your home or give as a gift.

Upon registration, you will be sent the directions for the coaster pattern. (Essentially a simple swatch of single (double crochet here in the UK) crochet with a border to keep things looking nice and crisp.) If you would like to stitch all four motifs during the class, you will need to make four coasters before the start of class.

Want to take the class, but are new to crochet or need a refresher? No worries! Carolyn has recorded a podcast just for you, demonstrating how to work each step of the coaster. From anchoring your yarn, to chaining stitches and turning rows, she’s got you covered! You’ll find everything you need in that video to have four coaster canvases ready to be beautifully embroidered!

Will will also email you the Zoom link to connect and the tutorials for each motif. You will be asked to either print the tutorials or have them accessible on a device for the class. We will embroider each motif together during the session.
