Yarntelier (Oct. 2017)
by Louisa Harding
I have always known that the finest yarns were to be found in Yorkshire.
This year we looked to unearth Yorkshire’s yarn specialists and use our creative philosophy to establish our new brand, Yarntelier.
Beautiful yarns, design and photography are the centre of the Yarntelier ethos.
The designs are inspired by the yarns with every hand knitted stitch dictating the shape, drape and fluidity of the garment or accessory. Using the most exquisite cashmere yarns transforms every item into a piece of hand crafted couture.
The designs have inspired the photographic stories and organically they have influenced our first pattern anthology, ‘Yarntelier Volume One’, fifteen beautifully photographed patterns for garments and accessories to hand knit which evoke the inspiration behind the creative journey, a journey inspired by and crafted in the heart of Yorkshire.
