Get inspired with Artyarns Inspirations!
These are Limited Edition colours in some of our favourite Artyarns bases: Merino Cloud, Double Mohair, and ultra-lux Cashmere Ombré 2 ply!
Every purchase includes exclusive patterns designed to bring out the yarn colours. Once a colour sells out it’s retired and will never be repeated.
The Sep 2022 colour is called "Tibetan Sunrise". Based on a photo from the Himalayan Mountains, this special colourway is soothing and compelling at the same time. The skein transforms from light blues and corals to the dark navy with a hint of cream.
This colorway is hand-painted in such a way that it is self-striping. Lovingly dyed by artisans with brushes.

Patterns will be emailed to you upon purchase*:
1. Tibetan Sunrise Shawl by Lucinda Iglesias: Knit with 1 skein of Merino Cloud and easily expandable with optional Beaded Silk and Sequins. This fun knit includes 3 sections with a variety of stitches. Knitters are encouraged to enjoy the zen rhythm of the stitches. This shawl is knit at a loose gauge to create an airy and light shawl with a beautiful drape. Finished Dimensions 75” x 25”. Needle size 5.50mm (9 US).
2. Tibetan Sunset Chevron Shawl by Dana Fehrenback: Knit with Double Mohair and Merino Cloud to accent the garter ridges and add depth. Both skeins use the Tibetan Sunset colourway. Quote from Dana: “Such a beautiful colourway, you will wear it everywhere, especially knit with the amazing Double Mohair.. Substitute the Mohair for the Cashmere and it feels like a dream!”
3. Slip Stitch Triangle Shawl by Iris Schreier: uses 1 skein of Merino Cloud in complementary colour N3A Coral (N7B Apricot Cream is lovely with it too), and 1 skein of Merino Cloud in Tibetan Sun.
This pattern is part of the Slipped September KAL and will be released on 12th Sept! We will email the pattern on 12th Sept, or join the Ravelry KAL for your copy and all the fun.
(PS - prices are for 1 skein of yarn. We often photograph more than one skein together so you get more "views" of the yarn, but unless you're buying a kit, each skein is sold individually.)

Care: We recommend hand washing non-superwash, hand-dyed yarns. Although Artyarns are very consistent with their colourways, all hand-painted skeins are unique. If your project uses more than one skein, you may want to alternate / stripe the skeins. Block / wash in lukewarm water with some wool wash, and lay flat to dry. Artyarns set their dyes with steaming and thoroughly rinsing but differing water temperatures and chemicals can cause some dye to bleed in any yarn. If you're pairing light and dark colours, we recommend washing your swatch first to test for colour-fastness. |
Artyarns fibers are manufactured in the United States. We strongly believe in local sourcing of materials and equipment. We utilize energy efficient systems and sustainable materials. Artyarns collaborates only with countries who follow International Labor Organization Standards.
