July 2021 is called "Northern Lights", after the Aurora Borealis, an incredible natural phenomenon photographed here in the great state of Washington, and celebrated in all its glory with hand-painted watercolour yarn, lovingly dyed by artisans with brushes.

1. Northern Lights Cowl by Danielle Courier: knit with one skein of Merino Cloud in Northern Lights (75" x 25") on 4.5mm (US 7) needles.
2. Northern Lights Crescent Shawl by Iris Schreier: knit with one skein of Merino Cloud in Northern Lights (63" x 16") on 5mm (US 8) needles.
3. Northern Lights Rectangle Wrap by Lucinda Iglesias: knit with one skein of Merino Cloud in Northern Lights and one skein of Merino Cloud in 378 Chartreuse.
Size: 16” X 75”, 41 cm x 191 cm. Knit on 4.5mm (US 7) needles.

Care: We recommend hand washing non-superwash, hand-dyed yarns. Although Artyarns are very consistent with their colourways, all hand-painted skeins are unique. If your project uses more than one skein, you may want to alternate / stripe the skeins. Block / wash in lukewarm water with some wool wash, and lay flat to dry. Artyarns set their dyes with steaming and thoroughly rinsing but differing water temperatures and chemicals can cause some dye to bleed in any yarn. If you're pairing light and dark colours, we recommend washing your swatch first to test for colour-fastness. |
