  • Get inspired with Artyarns Inspirations!

These are Limited Edition colours in some of our favourite Artyarns bases: Merino Cloud, Double Mohair, and ultra-lux Cashmere Ombré 2 ply!

Every purchase includes exclusive patterns designed to bring out the yarn colours. Once a colour sells out it’s retired and will never be repeated.

The January 2023 colourway was inspired by this gorgeous icy body of water that reflects the setting sun.  "Fire and Ice" is so soothing with its greys and purples, yet at the same time super-exciting with the bright mustard and orange.  It is unexpected yet fits together perfectly.  Skeins are hand-painted in an ombre style, and will knit up with long colour repeats.

Lovingly dyed by artisans with brushes.

Patterns will be emailed to you upon purchase*:

    1. One Skein Shawlby Iris Schreier: Knit with just 1 skein of Merino Cloud, this pattern really shows off the colours in a skein of Fire & Ice.

    2. Mohair Ombre 2 Ply Shawl with a Twist by Iris Schreier: gorgeous diagonal shawl with a twist!

    3. Silky Twist Feather & Fan Cowl by Danielle of Knitique: Knit with one skein of Silky Twist plus option to add a skein of Beaded Silk & Sequins. This cowl has an intriguing variation of a feather and fan stitch. Cleverly placed decreases give an interesting look to this twist of a classic stitch.

(PS - prices are for 1 skein of yarn. We often photograph more than one skein together so you get more "views" of the yarn, but unless you're buying a kit, each skein is sold individually.)

    Care:
We recommend hand washing non-superwash, hand-dyed yarns.

Although Artyarns are very consistent with their colourways, all hand-painted skeins are unique. If your project uses more than one skein, you may want to alternate / stripe the skeins.

Block / wash in lukewarm water with some wool wash, and lay flat to dry. Artyarns set their dyes with steaming and thoroughly rinsing but differing water temperatures and chemicals can cause some dye to bleed in any yarn.

If you're pairing light and dark colours, we recommend washing your swatch first to test for colour-fastness.
