  • This incredible yarn, used regularly by the hand-knitter for the British Royal Family, embodies the union between luxury, nature and sustainability.

We fell head over heals in love with this yarn the first time we held it!

Only select, young Alpaca hair which is finer than 19.5 microns is denominated as Royal.

The natural color palette is created by mixing white alpaca royal hair with 20% baby alpaca hair in different shades. Such a natural color palette allows for elegant and timeless combinations.

Pascuali Alpaca Royal is incredibly light and incredibly soft (better than cashmere!). Each perfect 25g ball boasts a generous yardage - you only need a max. of 250g for a size 38 sweater!

In the words of some woman called Melanie Berg:

    Melanie Berg (Knitwear Designer Mairlynd):
"80% Alpaca and 20% Baby Alpaca - Pascuali’s new Alpaca Royal yarn lives up to its name: It really is softer than soft. Knitting this yarn up is a pleasure for both, hands and mind, while the beautifully muted palette makes for an elegant result. I can’t wait to cast on!"
(The pictured Melanie Berg shawl is "Winter On My Mind", and can be purchased in store or on Ravelry.)

And on top of that, for each kg of Alpaca Royal sold, Pascuali donates $8  for their project "A Future with Pascuali", through which they help build greenhouses for their farmers and schools in Peru!

  • Pascuali are a young company from Cologne who's yarns are characterized by their rarity and deluxe class with outstanding high quality.

All Pascuali yarns are made exclusively from fair-traded natural fibres produced in an ecological and fair way, where exceptional quality is just as important as the careful keeping of the animals.

The company owner personally travels to far-flung locations to visit each farm and inspect the farm animal treatment and housing conditions. Yarns are never purchased through intermediaries. The wool quality is as much in focus as the conditions on the farms for our company.

Before we choose the wool of the best quality we check out 20 fair farms with the same wool.
