Here it is! The third class in a series of 3 workshops by Clara Peggoty for Tribe! As always spaces are very limited and demand is high so don't leave it too long to book!
In this class we'll be warping the looms in a similar way to the previous two classes, but with an emphasis on creating a warp-based pattern.
We will be creating bespoke sampler placemats incorporating several different styles of pick-up patterns and colourwork, such as:
· Basic plaid pattern
· Houndstooth plaid
· Weft Floats
· Warp Floats
If time allows, we shall also look at how to hand-twist the fringe on a piece of woven work.
Ideally, you should bring along at least two different colours but, as ever, you will be able to experiment with more than two colours and different weights of yarn during the class.
We will be using 16” Ashford Rigid Heddle looms, which are provided for your use, but feel free to bring your own if you wish to continue working on your piece at home.
Experts will be at hand to help with yarn and colour selection.
