Franca KAL with Cocoknits

It's not too late to join us for a Cocoknits Knit-a-Long starting 5th Feb 2021 and lasting 10 weeks!

Building on the community success of last year's Emma KAL, this time they have chosen the Franca cosy cardigan pattern for this year.

Franca is a comfy-casual cardigan with a perfectly slouchy shape. Everything is knitted as you go, including the front band and the free-hanging, kangaroo-style pockets, which means after binding off, you just have a couple gaps to close before blocking and curling up in it.

This is the perfect opportunity to learn the Cocoknits Method. Unlike most traditional patterns that create flat shapes, the tailored style of construction in these patterns creates truly three dimensional garments that impart a great fit upon completion.

You will also need the following:
• Yarn! See "Yarn Suggestions" tab! And read "Sizing Info" to get the right number of skeins. (Let us know asap if you need us to order more yarn for you!)

• 6mm (US 10) (or size needed to obtain gauge) circular needle 40" / 100 cm or longer for Body and Sleeves

• 3.5mm (US 4) needles for working bind off

• 2 - 3.25mm (US 0-3) double-pointed needle or any length circular needle (for picking up stitches)

• Extra circular needle in working size for PCO

• Extra circular needle in working size or 1 size larger for pocket (optional) 

• Cocoknits Colourful Stitch Markers

• Leather Cord and Needle Stitch Holder Kit to hold Sleeve stitches (optional)

• Row Counter (optional)

• Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet Journal (optional)

• Cocoknits Sweater Workshop (optional - but highly recommended!)

When a participant posts to the hashtag, #Cocoknits (on Instagram or Facebook), or shares a photo to the KAL Ravelry topic, they'll be entered to win prizes. This year there will be 5 small prizes and one grand prize. The small prizes will be announced at the end of each section, and includes the Split Ring Markers, Stitch Stoppers, Needle Gauge, Tape Measure, and Maker's Keep!
